Chris Kaufman
Origin: Detroit, MI, USA
Birth Year: 1980

During two decades in business, I've witnessed disparities and consumerism-driven challenges. My art interrogates excess and greed in the American milieu, reflecting the paradox of abundance and scarcity. It delves into the American Dream's notion that hard work guarantees success, contrasting it with wage realities, class disparities, and systemic inequality. Employing visual techniques, my work emphasizes these

contradictions and examines labor market power dynamics. Satire exposes the absurdities of an exploitative yet alluring system. Art can ignite discussions on equitable economies and redefine meaningful living. My goal is to provoke thought and empathy about our shared experiences and societal norms.
